How is this different from Touch Stay or Hostfully?
Our co-founder ran her own listings on Touch Stay, Hostfully, and Hospitable — and none of them did what she actually needed. That's why we're building this. Concretely: Touch Stay's AI searches one thing — your guidebook. Off-topic questions buzz your phone. Alora searches four — your KB, live Google Places data, the guest's preferences from past stays, and your property context. Same escalation queue when neither can answer, but Alora answers most of the questions Touch Stay would have escalated. Plus: cross-stay memory. Touch Stay and Hostfully don't have it.
What if Alora gives a wrong answer?
Two safety nets: (1) She only answers from what you taught her. She can't make up facts about your property. If she doesn't know, she pings you directly with full context. (2) Fix any wrong answer in your KB once, it's right forever after.
Why a cap of 100 founding cohort hosts?
Honest answer: there are two of us — and one of us is an Airbnb host herself, living the exact problem we're building for. Two people can personally know 100 hosts. We can't know 500. The cap protects the quality of the relationship during the founding period — every host gets a direct line to us. Past 100, that quality breaks.
What happens after the 12-month lock expires?
Your subscription auto-renews at then-current market rates ($29/mo single / $25 multi-5 / $22 multi-10 today). Referral discounts stay stacked into Year 2 — so if you earned $6/mo off from 3 referrals during the lock, you carry that into renewal. You can cancel anytime, no penalty.
Can I refer other hosts?
Yes. $2/mo off per active referral, stackable, account-tracked. Cap at your own bill — floor at $0/mo. So 7 referrals on a single-property founding host = Alora is free for the lock period. If a referred host churns later, your discount drops by $2/mo for that referral. Fair to both sides.
What about guest privacy / my data?
Your KB is yours — export anytime, delete anytime. Guest preferences belong to the guest, not the platform — they take their profile to any Alora property, we don't sell it. We don't resell guest data to third parties, ever. Structural commitment, not just policy.
